Control messages from characters
Proactive messages are messages a character starts without a new message from you. You can control their channels, quiet hours, daily limit and character mute settings.

Where do I change the settings?
Open Profile, then Settings. Choose in-app, browser, Telegram or email options where available. Some channels require an additional setup step, such as linking Telegram or enabling browser permission.
How do I mute one character?
Use the bell control in the character’s chat or manage your mute list in Settings. Muting proactive messages does not prevent you from sending a message and receiving a normal reply.
How do I stop proactive messages?
Set the proactive daily limit to 0 in Settings. You can also disable individual channels. Quiet hours limit when proactive messages may be sent; they do not prevent replies to a conversation you start.
